How Traditional Chinese Medicine saved my nails

How TCM saved my nails

For the last two years, my springs have been haunted by split, dry nails. This year the process actually started in January. The split was intense, and it caused my nails to crumble.

What didn't help me

In my case, no help came from:

  • Bamboo extract with silicon,
  • Zinc,
  • Magnesium,
  • Vitamin B12,
  • Lubricating castor oil and several different essential oils.

Traditional Chinese Medicine did not disappoint me

Until one day, I heard from Teresa about the beneficial effect of red dates on blood deficiency. What does blood deficiency have to do with the condition of your nails? Discussing it could take a long time, but in short, dry and brittle nails are, according to TCM, one of the physical signs of blood deficiency, especially liver blood.

Initially, I approached red date tea skeptically. However, because the problem was beginning to really bother me (I often got stuck with broken tips and it wasn’t pleasant) and none of the supplements I took helped, I decided to give it a try.

Patience, patience...patience

The effects did not come overnight, but patience paid off! Somewhere midway into the second package (200 g each), my hopes began to rise, because the condition of several nails slightly improved. I am currently on the third pack and I can say with certainty that my nails have undergone a transformation thanks to red date tea. They have once again become strong and smooth. No sign of cracks or layering!

I also noticed that since I started drinking this tea, I sleep better at night and generally have more vitality.

How to prepare red dates tea?

Red date tea is made as follows:

  • rinse 3 or 4 red dates under running water,
  • cut the dates in half, pour water over them and leave them for about an hour,
  • pour old water out and then pour in fresh water (a little more than a glass) and cook covered on low heat for about an hour.

Drink every evening.

Properties of red dates

Red dates:

  • improve digestion,
  • rebuild fluids,
  • nourish the blood,
  • accelerate metabolism,
  • improve immunity,
  • improve the nervous system,
  • contain 18 out of the 24 amino acids that the body needs to function properly.

Safe to say, I officially announce that red dates are the best way to fight split nails! Well, maybe that’s a bit too far – it just worked in my case and I hope that yours will be the same.

If you want to seek individual advice on your nutrition, you can arrange a visit with Teresa Majewska, thanks to whom I “discovered” red dates. Her contact details can be found here.

If you want to buy red dates, you will find them for example in this store www.cmcpolska.net. There are many shops selling red dates on the Internet. I’ve checked this one, so I’m recommending it.
