Self center in Human Design
What is Human Design?
Human Design is a system that shows the unique energetic blueprint you were born with.
It is a synthesis of science and esoteric traditions. It is synthesized from the chakra system, astrology, I’Ching, and Kabbalah, combined with genetic coding and astrophysics knowledge.
A specialized software prepares your Human Design Life Chart (also known as BodyGraph) based on your date of birth (time, day, month, year, place).
From your Human Design Chart, you will find out what kind of person you were born to be. The Chart shows your unique potential, free from any conditioning.
The Human Design Chart has several elements. One of them is nine energy centers that are energy hubs in the body and represent different aspects.
This post will tell you about the Self center (also called the G center).
Self-center’s functions
The Self center is an identity center. It is the diamond-shaped center jsu below the Throat center.
This center is responsible for:
- direction
- identity
- love
Biologically, the Self center is related to the liver and blood.
What does it mean that your center is defined or undefined?
Your Human Design Chart shows whether a center is defined, undefined, or open.
You have constant access to the center’s functions if defined (on your HD Chart, it is marked in color). The energy of such a center flows from the inside to the environment. The movement of energy is from the inside to the outside.
Undefined or open center (on your HD Chart, it is white) takes information and energy from the outside to the inside. You are then more susceptible to environmental influences in terms of the functions of a given center. You may tend to accept information and the energy of others as yours.
At the same time, such a center represents the potential for wisdom and seeing things without attachments.
Do you have a defined Self center?
If your Self center is defined, in particular:
- you have a fixed identity and direction in life
- you are the same regardless of your company, and sometimes you may even have trouble adjusting to others
- it is essential that you live in harmony with your identity and don’t suppress it to please others
- you are aware of your role or mission in life
- you have a constant, reflected in the Gates and Channels of your Human Design Chart, way of offering love to others
- feeling lost and without a sense of place and direction is an indication that you are not aligned with your true Self
Do you have an undefined or open Self center?
If your Self is undefined or open, in particular:
- you don’t have a fixed identity and direction in life and have been searching for them all your life
- you automatically take on what people with defined Self center say about who you are and what your direction is; be aware of that and make sure you distance yourself and check in with your Authority before you make any decisions
- you can get along with anyone, you are a social chameleon
- your environment and geographic location are very important for you because you get your identity from your environment and who you are with
- you have an ability to see potential of people around you and see these people for who they really are
- you can be whoever you want and do various things in life, but you must pay attention to your attraction to life’s direction of people with a defined Self center, let life to surprise you and focus on your environment
